人类已经进入机械化时代，在现代工业生产中，包装是工业生产中相当重要的环节，其中的产品贴标签在包装中又显得尤为重要。贴标机的功能就是能够对产品(这里指包装盒体)完成自动贴标工序。即使产品实现机械化、自动化的根本**，因此自动贴标签机在现代工业生产中起着相当重要的作用。它可以大幅度提高生产效率；降低劳动强度，改善劳动条件；避免人手与产品的接触，有利于产品的卫生；减少工厂面积。
本设计主要介绍了一种平面贴标机，详细说明了贴标机的主要零件设计过程以及关键零部件强度的校核。根据本贴标机的工艺，可将贴标机的结构化分为纸盒输送装置、上糊机构、标签输送装置、标签裁断机构、贴标机构和控制装置六部分组成。具有以下特征：工艺操作和辅助操作，即纸盒的输送、上糊、标签的输送、标签的裁剪，全由贴标机各组成装置自动完成；贴标机按设定的工艺过程顺序自动地进行工作，其控制装置可进行贴标机自动工作的循环控制。驱动装置采用的是直流电动机驱动，控制装置采用电控系统。自动工作机的自动控制装置采用的是机械式。针对平面贴标机的特点,对平面贴标机进行了系统的设计,并实现了贴标的全自动化。
